I was on here at the start of the year...

I was at the end of my tether...

ΤΗσ Losing all my equity in the house... £27,000
ΤΗσ Critical Illness not paying out after being measured for a teak suit
ΤΗσ Breakdown of marriage
ΤΗσ Only seeing the kids 2/3 times a week
ΤΗσ TD payments, plus rent, mortgage
ΤΗσ Being made redundant

11 months later...

ΤΗσ TD complete
ΤΗσ New flat - managed to furnish completely and happy.
ΤΗσ New mortgage deal
ΤΗσ Form 5 delivered
ΤΗσ Just maintenance payments to ex, so no rent or mortgage payments
ΤΗσ Credit rating has went from Poor to good in 6 months.

So it's not all doom and gloom, at the end of the day, it's just material things... it can all change for the good within months.

So for anyone out there on the verge like I was, take a deep breath and think about the light, it will get bigger and you will reach it.

I have been offered new credit as my rating has improved so well, but I won't go down that road again, just be careful out there.

Keep the Faith...

You don't want to wish your life away Bert, but 3 years is nothing, you can prepare in the background, if you need sort things out, in my case, new furniture, so it wasn't a massive amount and having to borrow again, which you DON'T want to do !!!

I'm really pleased to read your post and I can sense the positivity within it. I recall a while back when you first started posting about your situation that it wasn't an easy thing for you to deal with and you were almost stuck in limbo at one point with regards to the Trust Deed and house sale.

Sometimes certain situations can feel like there is no light at the end of the tunnel and no way out but in fact if people are willing to let go of some things and work towards the light then things can work out for the best although it is never easy.

Having to give up a property and allow it to be sold when it's been a family home I think is one of the hardest things that anyone will have to deal with but it doesn't need to be the end it can actually be the start. Sometimes and in many occasions actually it can be the fresh start that some people can really benefit from although it never seems like it at the time.

Thanks for taking the time to come back onto the forum and update us on your situation and share your story for others who may be at the same point you were 11 months ago!

Best wishes for the future BLUETHUNDER!

Thanks for sharing your story BLUETHUNDER and best wishes for the future.

I think we all sometimes just need to take a little time when confronted by things we'd rather not have to deal with. What seems impossible one day can look like an opportunity the next.
